Smith-Harris Legacy
The Smith-Harris Family desires a that one time to come together to share and enjoy that common thread that binds us together in hopes to develop the strength needed to keep us close enough that one could not fall without being caught by the other. We have a declaiming value system that our fore parents instilled generations ago. We have a love for each other that has been preserved yet some how I can see it slipping in and will eventually disappear with an opportunity to renew. We need that special opportunity that can you afford us to appreciate our height age, and to renew in our seeds for generations to come. We need the opportunity to develop avenues that can assure us that our values, contributions, and legacy will embrace our younger generation and the generations to come to know that success is in their blood, endurance is in our bones, and that faith in our God will continue to sustain us when I am dead and gone.
The Smith–Harris Family need to celebrate our presence and rejoice over our young, and cry over our losses. We hurt inside because we can’t come together to release these emotions. We feel lonely and isolated from each other because our ability to gather is no longer possible. Sometime I think of the slaves that were separated. If I saw my relatives on the street, I wouldn’t recognize them and they wouldn’t me.
Some of my family has done well and some haven’t, that doesn’t matter we need each other. When I become down, depressed longing for my love one, its’ usually because one is sick or needing me. When I awake in the middle of the night and one of my siblings is on my mind or I may dream about them they are usually going through something. We need this opportunity. Thank you.
